Always had a soft spot for this game I think it is one of the better Bond games. I left the Windows 7/Run as Admin compatibility on but the game may run without them. Reinstated the NoDVD executable and I can now play the game as on Windows 8. It was worth it though because the game worked properly and James Bond and the enemies were visible! YEEESSSS!
This time the game installed, though it took a long, long time. The installer seemed to hang so I rebooted and re-ran the installer using Windows 7 compatibility mode and Run as Admin. I then uninstalled it and re-installed it on a different drive. I have tried all the different Windows compatibility flags and/or Run as Admin but I cannot get this game to work properly with Windows 10.įinally, found the disc and ran the original executable but the game was still not working correctly. PD: The antivirus normally detects Cracks as a false positive virus, if you do not trust it, it is your right not to download it, but remember that it is the only way to reproduce these titles unless you have been able to acquire them at the time. Obviously, this makes the game all but unplayable.
Now, in Windows 10, it will load up fine and appears to play OK except the main character is not rendered nor are any of the enemies although the environment and other graphics appear as they should (including shadows/ambient lighting!). It is the retail disc version but I was using a NoDVD file to get around the DVD requirement and the game was working fine in Windows 8.1 Pro. The only game so far that I have come across that isn't working properly is a third-person shooter/action title called James Bond 007: Blood Stone by Bizarre Creations and published by Activision. The idea is to make people aware of them and possibly contribute workarounds or fixes, especially for those older games that are unlikely to be patched.
Now that Windows 10 is officially released, I thought I'd start a thread so we can list any games that are not working properly with Windows 10. Though Ian Fleming created 007 in the 1953 novel Casino Royale, Bond was born for the movies, with Connery defining his debonair secret-agent cool in the 1962 thriller Dr.
